Mark Your Calendar: Helena Hernmarck Lecture on November 2
Internationally renowned tapestry artist Helena Hernmarck will present the lecture, “The Process of Weaving a Commissioned Tapestry,” at the Cleveland Museum of Art on Wednesday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the CMA Recital Hall. Helena Hernmarck has created many stunning large tapestry works that were commissioned by clients and architects for lobby or interior office spaces. She developed her own combination of weaving techniques and approaches to subject matter.
The lecture is free to TAA members and students; $5 at the door for nonmembers. TAA members may wish to join the artist for dinner at Provenance Café at 5:15 p.m. If you are interested in having dinner with Helena, please contact Joanne Giordano at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we have a general idea of the number who might be attending. Dinner will be followed by a viewing of one of Helena’s large tapestries at 6:15 p.m. in the Art Study Room. Space is limited.
