TAA Cleveland is a volunteer-run community association serving residents of the greater Cleveland area. We started as a handful of neighbors swapping phone numbers on a porch in 2011, and we’ve grown into an organized group of more than four hundred member households — but our purpose hasn’t changed: we look out for each other, we show up for each other, and we keep this neighborhood a good place to raise a family and grow old.
What we do
Our association coordinates the everyday work of neighborhood life. We organize seasonal clean-ups and park days, publish a monthly newsletter with local news and resources, run a tool-lending library, and maintain a welcome program for new residents. When issues come up that affect the whole neighborhood — a zoning change, a road project, a safety concern — we host open meetings so every voice gets heard before we speak for the community.
We also partner with local schools, the public library, and city departments to bring useful programs closer to home: after-school tutoring, free tax prep in the spring, and a summer lunch program for kids when school is out.
How we’re run
TAA Cleveland is governed by a board of seven elected members who serve two-year terms. Board meetings are open to all members, and minutes are published in the newsletter. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, or owns property in the neighborhood, and dues are kept deliberately low — no one is turned away for inability to pay.
